A born-and-raised Hamburg girl with eventually nothing more than a passion for raising my kids multilingual with German as their mother tongue, English as the world language for communication, and French as their second foreign language in school.

I’m proud to have created a program for other parents so they can simply live the language they love in their daily lives! Through my program, I help parents around the world take up this challenge and live an additional language. I support this adventure with meaningful, step-by-step actions, which create surprisingly quick successes.

Since English is the most widely used language for communication around the world it is so important to have a comprehensive knowledge of this “world language” particularly if you did not grow up in an English-speaking country. We already have English words integrated into our daily language, it is nearly impossible to avoid hearing English songs on the radio and last but not least, when you enter the school system in the EU, you have to learn English and at least one other foreign language.

my own

language journey

I had to learn English and Russian at school and I have to admit, I didn't really like the language lessons. Partly this was because I wasn't very good at understanding, speaking, and writing the languages in the format they were delivered in, but I had to go through it! At the End of my last English exam, I promised myself, never ever to speak one word in English again!!! I think, one week later, I decided to stay as an Au Pair in London for some months ;-)

After school, you are released into real life. In my case, that meant for me: welcome to London. As an introvert and perfectionist - this was definitely not the easiest challenge to face.

Here's the point: I realized that my school English is not real life English! But being naturally immersed with English all day, listen to native speaker and challenged myself to speak, this was the time when I slowly fell in love with the English language.

One of the things I’m often asked is

"how did you get started speaking a foreign language in your daily life with your kids?"

we love to “be lingual at home”!

The answer is we love to be bilingual at home!

During the intense time of the covid lockdown from march 2020, I simply started speaking English with my kids, every day at least one sentence more. Who can relate to the fact that parents are constantly repeating the same things every day or sometimes in every sentence again and again?

So why not take the challenge and improve your foreign language knowledge by repeating the sentences and dialogs every day, in the language you would love your kids to be speaking one day with ease and confidence?

We had so much fun doing this, and everyone in our family were surprised by how quickly we could see lots of positive results in adopting the new family language.

The biggest success for my eldest son, and of course, for me as well, was a question from his new English teacher at his school after the summer vacation. At the end of his second lesson, she asked him: "Are you speaking English at home?"

Yes, can you imagine how I celebrated it when I realized what a confidence boost it was for Lasse!

Before covid, he struggled with understanding the context and felt way less confident in the English lessons - now he is even looking forward to the English lessons!

I believe you are the first and most worthwhile teacher your kids can have when they start exploring the world. You are the one who supports your child by being by their side when they take their first steps and speak their first words.

With some help from the blah-program, you will be able to support them, not only speaking their mother tongue, but you will also provide them with the lifelong skill of

having the ability to speak in different languages to different people, just by living it in your daily life.

No matter what your dreams or obstacles are, if you love a language or you simply love connecting with people from different countries, you have the power to raise your kids bilingual, and by doing so, you’ll change the world.

I’m no sage from the stage and I don’t have all the answers. I'm far away from being perfect in speaking English fluently in every aspect of my life and I'm still having days with self-doubt, just like so many of us.

My commitment is the bigger picture for my kids, my passion for English and to bring you the very best of what I’m living and learning, while keeping it real and honest as I go. So please don’t expect a perfect polished polyglot-mom  - that's not me!

But based on my own journey you can expect thoughtful-provoking ideas, time-saving content material, a well-designed roadmap, and unwavering devotion to help you live the life of a bilingual family.
